When we were preparing for our Hong Kong trip, we got to watch a video that featured a store that sells scones. Now I’m not a big fan of scones probably because I’ve never had a good one before. But the scones from the video look so good. So we decided to visit Grandma’s Scones.

Grandma’s Scones

Grandma’s Scones started in 2019 as an online store and did pop-ups. In 2025, it finally opened a permanent store in Wan Chai. The store is so compact and is made of wood, giving a rustic vibe.

So did my mind change about scones?

Their Original Maple is buttery, crumbly, and rightly sweet. It feels like eating a pancake!

The Seasalt Chocolate Caramel has a nice chocolate flavor with a hint of saltiness.

We asked what else are their bestsellers. The staff pointed us to Hojicha Mochi. It has a sweet mochi in the middle. However, I’m not a fan of the bitter tea aftertaste.

And did I mention that all the scones are moist? It didn’t get dry even after a few days!

They also sell other items to enhance your scone experience, such as Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam.
