Hi! I’m Enzo and I love exploring urban jungles, rich cultures, and—most importantly—delicious food!

I used to write at Zoy Sauce Etc., a Christian blog on life and leadership. But work and adulting had become so demanding that I had to give up my blog. I still hope to revive it someday.

On January 2018, I went back to blogging. But instead of Christian topics, I focused on my newfound passion. Thus, the birth of Zoy To The World. It was only based on Facebook (the Notes feature worked well for me) at first. Eventually, I migrated it to a Web site on October 2019 to reach a wider audience.

So what makes this blog unique?

It’s a hobby. I want to pursue my passions for writing, exploring, and food…with an emphasis on food! This blog brings it all together.

Zoy To The World isn’t “full-time”. I still work as a staff of our church and have no plans for a career shift. I believe that ministry is my calling in life and, Lord-willing, for the rest of my life.

Because I’m not full-time on this, I have to wait for holidays and long weekends, plan my leaves strategically, and develop my itinerary wisely. In a year, I can probably manage 2-3 long trips, domestic and abroad. I’d be happy if I can make it 4, but I’m not sure if my wallet can keep up with that.

So in other words, I can relate with people who want the best use of their time, money, and stomach space (LOL) on their travels!

the million-dollar question: Why “Zoy To The World”?

Back in college, I wanted to be called “Zoy” because I thought it sounded cooler. But it was a failed attempt. Everyone still called me Enzo. Oh, well. You can’t have everything!

I managed to use “Zoy” for my first blog, Zoy Sauce Etc. I thought of a creative tagline: “Adding Flavor to Your Daily Walk with God”. S[Z]oy Sauce. Salt and Light (Matthew 5:13-16). Get it?

For this blog’s title, I still hoped to use “Zoy”. So I brainstormed about it, adapted a title of a famous Christmas song, and, voila, Zoy To The World! (Just don’t sing it, okay? I know it will be hard not to.)

Some friends now call me “Zoy” due to my first blog. Achievement unlocked! Yahoo!
