I’m always on the lookout for good burgers in Metro Manila (check out The Ultimate Metro Manila Burger Guide here). And my latest search brought me to a gem that’s literally hidden. LOL.
Love Burgers is hidden inside a house, specifically in its garage and porch. It started as an online kitchen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, it’s still available in food delivery apps, with a limited-seating, dine-in area. There’s no signage so it’s easy to miss it.

The garage has been converted into a kitchen, while the porch has become the dining area, with foldable tables and chairs. I love its vibe!

We got to talk with the chef, who is really friendly and engaging. As we were talking to him, we can sense his passion and perfectionism, which translates to top-notch burgers. No wonder Spot.ph ranked Love Burgers’ cheeseburger as the best in the Metro.

So is it really the best in Metro Manila? Here’s what I think…
We tried The OG, which has a dry-aged beef patty, perfectly crisp bacon, and fresh veggies, sandwiched between two potato buns.
The OG (PHP420)
While all the elements are stellar, the main star is the patty. It’s so beefy and juicy. By the way, every ingredient, except for the cheese, is locally sourced.
The Peanut Butter Burger has a creamy and not-too-sweet peanut butter (is it homemade?). It also has jalapeños, making it spicy.

Of course, a burger meal wouldn’t be complete without fries. The Truffle Fries is perfectly cooked, crisp and fluffy. Plus, the truffle flavor isn’t overpowering, which we love.

The Copycat Fries, I believe, is an homage to In-N-Out’s Animal Fries. It has the same crisp and pillowy fries as the Truffle Fries, but drizzled with tangy and spicy sauce, and topped with sweet caramelized onions.

When eating at Love Burgers, don’t forget to end your meal with Bake Scout’s Belgian Chocolate Chip Cookies. It’s buttery, gooey, and has the perfect hint of salt.

So what’s my verdict? I think I now agree with Spot.ph. Love Burgers makes the best burgers I’ve had in the Metro. Every element—patties, buns, veggies, bacon, sauce—of their burgers are done really well. You can really feel the passion and perfection of its makers, led by their owner-chef, in every bite.
Needless to say, Love Burgers is now my favorite burger joint in the Metro…for now (the burger scene in Metro Manila is becoming more and more competitive so I really can’t tell how long it will be my favorite). I highly recommend it to you!
P.S. You may be wondering why it’s called Love Burgers. The chef gave two answers when I asked him the question. The first (and easy) answer is that he loves burgers. As for the second, I think it’s better to hear it from chef himself. He has a nice explanation, which only him can verbalize.
