Tearoom by aralee: This Cafe Makes Good Desserts and Drinks, and Has a Boutique Selling Children’s Clothes (It’s Our Favorite Cafe in Batam, Indonesia!)

Compared to the cafes in the neighboring Singapore, the cafes in Batam (Indonesia) are more affordable. So before we returned to the Lion City, we seize the opportunity to visit as many cafes as we can. One is Tearoom by aralee.
Tearoom by aralee is a cute cafe that specializes in Japanese matcha drinks and French pastries, among many others.
What’s interesting about the cafe is that it has a boutique selling children’s clothes, particularly for girls. I’m not sure if the boutique is the “aralee” part.

But what I’m sure of is that they have great desserts and drinks.
The Matilda Cake, which is inspired by its namesake movie, is moist and chocolatey, with a hint of salt and chunks of chocolate.
The Milk Valrhona Cookie is buttery and chewy, while the Earl Grey Madeleine is most and has the perfect earl grey flavor.
Because we’re feeling fancy (LOL), we tried their Apple Tea. When you pour it into the cup, the apple slices bloom like a flower.
It has a balanced apple and tea flavors.
If you’re not into matcha or tea, then you can get the Bacha Coffee. You can choose the variety, and it’s also refillable.
Granted that it’s only a drip bag. But it pairs well with the desserts.
Tearoom by aralee makes good desserts and drinks. Plus, the interior is cute and cozy. I guarantee you that you won’t notice the time when you’re there.
This is our favorite cafe in Batam so far. And I highly recommend it to you!
